Cycle Hire
An electric cargo bike, often called an eCargo bike, is an electric bike with purpose-built storage. The bikes come in different shapes and sizes to suit whatever is being transported from children to shopping to heavy parcels and cargo.
eCargo bikes can help you:

City Centre Bike Hub
The City Centre Bike Hub has 4 different bikes: Raleigh Motus, Riese & Muller Multicharger, Riese & Muller 75 and Bakfiet Long. It costs £6 for a half day and £10 for a full day plus a £50 deposit.

New Town Bike Hub
The New Town Bike Hub has 3 different bikes: Cube, Benno Boost and Airtours Trike. It costs £10 for a full day plus a £50 deposit.

Dott eBikes
On street Dott eBikes can be hired by the minute using the Dott app. These are available across the city and can be picked up and dropped off wherever is convenient for you!
It costs £1 to unlock and then 27p per minute to ride.

Residents bike hire
Residents can hire an eCargo bike for between 1-4 weeks costing £20 a week, plus a £100 returnable deposit.
Businesses bike hire
Businesses can hire an eCargo bike for between 1-4 weeks costing £20 a week, plus a £100 deposit or for free if you are a member of Colchester Travel Plan Club.
